Perhaps you've gotten familar with War with their two releases and various compilation appearances on Posh Isolation. More Days was the first release that first got me hooked, then came God Made Flesh. Both of which containing an addicting serving of synthpop, darkwave, ambient, and industrial done in a lo-fi fashion. Now in a new year comes At War For Youth which originally was recorded on cassette and it's a short offering i cannot bare to ever forget. We now enter a new year on the blog with a very recent addiction. He is Yuzo Iwata and this amazing record seems to have been a collection of songs spanning from 1988 to 1994. Finally released in 1999, you will now experience what its like to drown in the sky. The album itself is all over the place, throughout the entire album it flirts heavily with psych-folk, and noise but we are also given quite the soft dreamy ambient touching here and there. The concluding title track gives me chills.

I've been spinning this destruction since it was released and due to my incredibly poor ripping abilitys there would be no way i wouid degrade one of my favourite releases this year. Willing Feet are a local band from here in Winnipeg and i've had the pleasure to see live many times. Two re-recorded songs you've heard from the demo and the sound is more menacing then ever. Right from the start you are whirled into the punk-y stomp of Deep With the Dead, and not much bands these days seem to be pulling off this style without coming off as tired and recycled.

Here is you gateway to japanese hardcore; if you do not dig this compilation then there is no use in even trying anymore, this is classic 80s japanese hardcore at its finest. Right from the start G.I.S.M. unleash one of their evilest songs in their catalog 'Death Exclamations' and then with the more groovier banger 'Fire'. The Execute and Aburadako keep the hardcore momentum going while Laughin' Nose go for more of a straight forward punk approach. The Clay lay down some more metal-leaning hardcore on 'Future Terror' and 'Militia' and last but certainly not least G-Zet provide probably the best song on the compilation with '堕落' (Dakura).

After deeply getting into the short-lived No Wave music scene in New York i was brought to this early gem. I really do not have any information on them other than they aren't from New York but from London and i am pretty sure this is all they have released a mere 2 song single. i was not expecting much from this little single just the same wacky unlistenable jams i've heard from previous no wave artists, but this is the most unique, unlistenable 'music' 1979 has to offer.

Very evil, twisted music from swedish bm knight Angramain'yo and his project Azhubham Haani. This twenty something minute demo came out back in 92' and it's easily the best raw black metal i've heard since genital tomb, but then again what do i know. This tape has a little bit of everything, the song Where Death Has Reared Itself A Throne's intro build up instantly reminded me of Moëvöt, but these six songs aren't all fruity black hymns theres actually alot of stomping raw black metal and guitar solos you will hear in the distance. Anyway below is a hilarious review i thought i'd share with you.

Look, it's 2000 and goddamn 10. I won't think that your music isn't "authentic" if I can make out the music. It isn't raw and jagged like Nattens Madrigal is, I can take that, this is just fuzzy and useless. The music that is discernible from the fuzz is simple and boring.

these frenchies released this back in 84', they were an industrial band from Caen, Basse-Normandie who went by Déficit des années antérieures or simply DDAA. I would give you more information but that's all i know and looking up stuff to pretend to know what i'm talking about is just too much work. All i know is that this release in particular is superb and is a great combination of early industrial and experimental rock, full of songs with indescribable vocals to make you never sleep alone in the dark ever again.
